Alcmene was the mother of Heracles, but sadly, died. Though Zeus told Heracles to put a stone instead of her body when she died, for the memory of the Greeks to stay inside her forever. They dragged her body as Zeus placed her soul in the Isle of the Blessed (an island for dead people who's souls were well-adored by the Olympians). This story was passed on often and Alcmene was worshipped a lot in Thebes and Athens.
Alcmene, like Heracles, is sometimes headstrong, but brave and loyal.
Alcmene loved her son Heracles, but it is unknown to whom she wed to.
