Borysthenis is a minor goddess of the inspiration of art, science and literature , she is a younger Muse, and a member of the Muse Apollonides with her sisters, Apollonis and Cephisso.

Significance[]
In ancient Greece, Borysthenis was also known as Hypate, (which is the word for the highest of the seven notes of the lyre.), she and her sisters, Apollonis and Cephisso, were also known as Mese and Nete. The three were worshipped in Delphi, where the Temple of Apollo and the Oracle was located.
