Cleta is a Grace goddess of fame and glory, she was one of the two Graces worshipped in Ancient Laconia, the other being Phaenna. The two were mentioned in the account of Pausanias.

Genealogy and Family[]

Cleta was possibly a daughter of Zeus and Eurynome but this cannot be made certain.

Cleta is a Grace Goddess presiding over fame and glory, her and Phaenna were worshipped in Ancient Laconia by the Spartans.

Appearance and Personality[]

Not much is known of either of these, as a goddess she likely appeared as a beautiful and youthful woman.

Typical of goddesses she has eternal youth, immortality and perfect health.

Trivia[]

Cleta's name is spelt Κλήτα in Ancient Greek and means 'the glorious'.

She has a similar role and duty to the elder Oceanid, Klymene and Pheme, the daimona of rumour, report and gossip.
