Dike is the goddess of justice and a member of The Horae in Greek Mythology.
Role and Significance[]
The goddess Dike rules over mortal justice, compared to her mother, Themis who rules over divine justice.
Family and Genealogy[]
Dike is the daughter of Themis, the Titaness of Law and Good Order and Zeus, King of the Gods, she has eight sisters including Dike and Eunomia, who form the second triad of The Horae with her. Her maternal grandparents are Gaia and Uranus whilst her paternal grandparents are Cronus and Rhea. Her many paternal half siblings include Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Ares, Hephaestus, Persephone and Dionysus.
She was never recorded as marrying nor having children.
Appearance and Personality[]
Dike is depicted as a beautiful young woman, some art depicted her dragging the ugly Adacia, goddess of injustice and beating her with a staff, clearly winning the fight.
She is always on guard, and can be sometimes jumpy and alert. She never lets her guard down but that sometimes can be an advantage. Other than that, she is quite compassionate of what she's doing and towards others as well.
She could often be seen chasing any Titan who would be sent by Cronus as a spy to ambush Mount Olympus.
Relationships[]
Enemies[]
Dike has a lot of enemies, some powerless. But her worst enemy is Adacia, the goddess of injustice. There also would be a male personification, but he would probably be too scared after what happened to Adacia.
Trivia[]
Dike's official Greek name is Δικη.
