Hybris is the minor goddess (daimon) of insolence, violence, and outrageous behaviour in Greek Mythology.

Genealogy and Family[]

Depending on the account, she is the daughter of Nyx and Erebus, or of Dyssebia, the goddess of impiety and ungodliness. According to the Pseudo-Apollodoris, she and Zeus are the parents of Pan. She is also mother to the god, Koros- the spirit and personification of surfeit and disdain.

Stories[]

There is very little mention of Hybris in the accounts of Greek Mythology, aside from the lists of her and her family members.

Typical of Goddesses, she takes the form of a youthful woman.

Based on her title, Hybris is a troublesome goddess, a person the other gods would not want to cross and get on the bad side of.
