Soteria is the minor goddess (daimon) of safety and salvation, deliverance, and preservation from harm. Her male counterpart is Soter.

Soteria's father maybe either Zeus and Dionysus considering they have the epithet, Soter, but there are no hints to her mother's identity

She is the personification of safety, salvation, deliverance and preservation from harm.

Personality and Appearance[]

Soteria can definitely be considered, a kind, peaceful, serene and gentle goddess, who helps to shield mortals from danger. Her appearance was little described in Greek Mythology, but an ancient Greek mosaic depicted her as a fair skinned woman with long, wavy dark brown hair, brown eyes, wearing a laurel wreath on her head, a pearl necklace and a black and golden dress.

Her Greek name is Σωτηρια

She is not to be confused with Eleos, Goddess of compassion and mercy.
